Horror in Moscow as burka-clad babysitter 'decapitates girl in her care' – then walks through streets carrying her severed head and shouting 'Allahu Akbar'

A burka-clad babysitter decapitated the little girl in her care before walking through Moscow carrying the child's severed head, police say.

The woman shouted 'Allahu Akbar' as she appeared near Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station in the northwest of the Russian capital and threatened to blow herself up.It came hours after officers found the headless body of a child when they were called to a fire at a block of flats in the city.
The victim was a girl identified as Nastya M - and the child's 38-year-old nanny Gyulchehra Bobokulova, from Uzbekistan, has been arrested.

NAFDAC bans importation of beans, sets new conditions

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), has placed a ban on the importation of foreign beans into the country. Yetunde Oni, acting director general of the agency‎, disclosed this at the awareness/sensitization workshop on Safe and Responsible use of Regulated Agricultural inputs for stakeholders in the North Central Zone in Minna. She however, emphasized that only beans screened by the agency will be allowed into the country. ”We must recall that these banned beans produce that have been banned in the European Union (EU) are those ones that never passed through NAFDAC.

Justice A I Chikere of the federal high court, Abuja, has remanded Abba Moro, former minister of interior, in prison custody pending the determination of his application for bail. However, Anastasia Nwobia, a co-accused, was granted bail following her release from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Uche Chris (SAN), counsel to Nwobia, had asked the court to grant his client bail, arguing that she is a nursing mother and a victim of circumstance in the case. The court granted his request but remanded Moro, the first defendant in the case in prison.

He said in a statement that more investigations were on-going in collaboration with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

A statement issued by the Ebonyi State Police Command yesterday, Feb. 28 said that it intercepted a man accompanying 13 underage children. The statement below:

    "On 26/01/2016 at about 1600hrs, acting on a tip-off, one Emmanuel Okuegu and Andrew Okperegede were intercepted accompanying 13 underage children in a bus to an unknown destination. The suspects were arrested and they confessed that they were taking the boys to Port Harcourt for hawking. The suspects also claim the act was done with the consent of their parents/guardians"

Pastor is shot and killed at the altar by his brother who was sitting in congregation

William Schooler, 70 (right), a pastor at St Peter's Missionary Baptist in Dayton, Ohio was shot and killed by his brother while service was in session at the church. The choir was singing when the suspect, 69-year-old Daniel (left), got up, followed the pastor and shot him as he got behind the pulpit. He died at the scene from his injuries.

While the motive for the shooting is not clear, reports say it was related to a domestic incident.

Former President Obasanjo’s son In ghastly auto accident

Former President Obasanjo’s son, Oba, was in a ghastly auto accident today on his way from Ilesha in Osun state where he had gone to attend the 75th birthday party ceremony of his stepmother, Mabel.

An eyewitness said the car he was driving is now a write-off with occupants including Oba sustaining critical injuries. A 35-year-old man identified as Hasnil Warekar murdered 14 members of his family, including his parents and 7 small children, in the early hours on Sunday, February 28, before taking his own life. According to the police, the incident took place after the family members came together around 1 a.m. in his home at Kasarvadavil in Thane district, 32 kilometres from Mumbai.

How Nigeria is failing to learn from its 1983-85 financial crisis – Pat Utomi

Benue state uncovers 1,061 ghost workers

Benue State Government said it had uncovered 1, 061 ghost workers who were previously on the payroll of public schools in the past administration.

This was revealed on Friday in Makurdi, the state capital by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Titus Zam, while handing over the responsibility of the payment of staff of public schools to the State Universal Basic Education Board.

How four family members and two bride-to-be were brutally hacked to death in Kebbi State
