Advice to Single Men and Women, Seeking Love and Things

Advice to Single Men and Women, Seeking Love and Things

1. What are your priorities?
What is troubling you right now?
What do you think about... most often?

Matt.6.21 - Wherever your treasure is, there your heart and thoughts will also be.
The heart is the center of our being and the place, we hold dearly the things and people important to us.
If our treasures are not eternal then it is not worth giving our heart to, because the day we lose it, we lose our heart and once the heart is lost their will no longer be any reason enough to live.
Some folks are dead today because the moment they heard their goods or properties were destroyed...they slumped.
The reason is this; the consumed/destroyed things, were their treasures and because their heart was wrapped around that treasure they were affected to the point of dying.

2. Do you do things because you feel left out?
What is your drive?

Rom.12.2 - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.

The system wants us to conform to its status quo.
The society wants us to see premarital sex as normal and something everyone is doing.
The system wants us to value and uphold living luxuriously as a source of happiness.
The society wants us to believe money is everything. It does not matter how it is gotten.
But truthfully, the world's system is always wrong.
The only way to understand the will of God is having our mind transformed (Living right)
We can't be in unison with God when we accept the world and its enticement.

3. How important is your heart to you?
Do you enjoy playing with it?

Prov.4.23 - Above all else, guard your heart, for it affects everything you do.
If I ask you to guard any of my stuff diligently, what I mean is "even when attackers come your way, never allow them to steal my stuff.
It could also mean watch out seriously that which I've entrusted in your care because it is important.
Listen beloved - Our heart is very important to the extent of it being the starting and central point of any man's salvation.
Rom.10.10 - For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God.

Guard the heart against anything that will take the very place of God.
Our focus is to give all our attention and heart to God and as a loving father, He will provide all that we need in such a way it will not destroy us.
At the right time he provides us:
 A man/woman that's right for us.

At the right time, He will provide us :
Material possessions, HE had already trained us to handle.

God trains us by helping us submit Our Emotions and things under him

4. Who has your heart?
What if that person disappoints you?
How would you handle it?

Prov.13.12 - Hope deferred makes the heart sick.
When we wrap our hope on anything that is not God, then moment we get disappointed our heart gets sick, weak and our body wishes to give up.
This is when depression takes over.
Many young men and women have given in to suicidal thoughts because a boy/girl left them heartbroken.

To have a healthy heart is aligning our hearts with the will of God.
Having a healthy heart is giving God all of it.

5. Would you give God your heart now or would you rather give it to someone you feel attracted to?

Matt.22.37 - Jesus replied, "'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.'

When we love God with all our hearts which one will be left for loving others? You may ask...

Matt.22.39 - A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'

In the scripture above we have been asked to love God with all our heart and we have also been asked to love others too.
We must understand this; loving God is loving men (people)

1John.4.20 - If someone says, "I love God," but hates a Christian brother or sister, that person is a liar; for if we don't love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we have not seen?

God upon creation poured himself into us. The more reason we must love and cherish one another.
There are different kinds of love
But I will only talk about

Family love:
the love we give those that are biologically related to us

Agape love:
Sacrificial love. The love so pure and genuine.

Eros:
 The love of physical attraction.

The attraction between a man and a woman is normal.
But this attraction in as much as it is normal should be controlled. The control system is needed because it helps us maintain our focus.

The moment we give our heart to this kind of love outside marriage it becomes a snare and a destructive weapon that can wreck dreams and purpose.
This is because the day that person leaves us we become heartbroken, empty and hollow because our erotic love interest left with the center of our being.
But when we give all our heart to God who is eternal, managing emotions and things become super easy.

Having a safe heart is channeling our energy, emotions, and the whole being to God because He Never fails.

Trust God with your heart. Trust him with every bit of it.

If you trust any man with your heart...It just a matter of time, you won't be left with any at all because it would've been chopped bits by bits until none is left.
